Top-entry process agitator
Flygt 4840 is a process agitator with a shaft and impeller assembly mounted from the top of the tank. It is not a submersible-motor mixer. Impeller count, diameter, shaft length and positioning are specified for the digester, sludge-storage or biological-treatment tank. The published 50 Hz table lists 0.75–4 kW motor power and 0.8–1.5 m impeller diameters. Assessment of an existing unit requires its tank connections and full mechanical configuration.
Final performance and suitability are verified for the selected model and duty point.
UNDERSTAND THE APPLICATION
A solution for your application.
Application areas
Sludge digestion and storage tanks · Anoxic and anaerobic biological treatment · Agricultural biogas tanks
Selection considerations
Determine thrust and positioning from tank dimensions, liquid level and solids concentration. Motor power alone is insufficient for selection.
Share tank dimensions, liquid level, temperature and solids concentration with our technical team. We can assess thrust, mixing objectives and installation together.
